Goals, Cupcakes & Cookbook of the Month

Recipe Layout Restyle Source

My little men are getting old enough to start having some
fun in the kitchen.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!!
Are you gearing up for a fun and exciting new year, full of promise's?
This is when my OCD kicks into overdrive and I begin to clear out all the clutter once again.
I read somewhere it takes a good year to get your home
organized and for everything to find a place. Hmm, better get started then.

 I have lost a total of 15
pounds this past year.  The baby weight is finally starting to come off.  It was not easy to lose
the weight with my second baby.
I was in the gym at least 3 times a week, used portion control
and even injured my back in the process but, I kept with it and I have never felt better.
Can't wait to start hitting the gym and my favorite cycling class.
My kryptonite is a major sweet tooth.
So, this year one goal is to start preparing healthier meals for for me and my family.
Moderation is key. Don't make all these drastic changes at once.
Take one day at a time and make small improvements, then watch out
because it can become a huge snow ball effect into a healthier lifestyle.

With that, Dustylu will have a cook book of the month each month on the blog,
We will cook a few recipes from that book and let you know what we think.
Everyone will be invited to link along and share
their favorite cookbook. More on that later.

Happiest of New Year!

  1. Congrats on the weight loss! The third baby I had a hard time but finally got it all off. Then I hit 39 and it went back up so I gave up carbs and sugar works like a charm now that I'm 40 but i do cheat exp around this time. Happy New year and I love that picture of your little guy in the kitchen.
