Kitchens We’d Love to Cook in…

Hi everyone!

Luke is already 4 weeks old and I am trying to get on a regular schedule again.

Here’s to trying!!!

The reason I have been absent from blogging these past few months is because I have been working on

several projects that I will soon be able to share. I literally worked up until I had Luke.

Maritha Sears from Design Shuffle contacted me, and I was honored when she offered to do

an amazing guest post for us. Thank you Joanna for writing such a fun post. So, here we go…enjoy

Kitchens We'd Love to Cook In

Inspired by all the gorgeous veggies and fruits at our local farmer's market, we've been in a cooking and baking frenzy lately. When not cooking or baking, we've been looking at pictures of kitchens and imagining cooking and baking in them. These are some of our recent favorites. Hope they inspire you with many kitchen design ideas for your own kitchen!

Two words: double islands. Love all the counter space, the black bases on the islands, the lighting, and the professional stove. A beautiful kitchen!

We want to cook and eat and work in this kitchen. The golden yellow in the backsplash against all that gorgeous white cabinetry—gorgeous. The table connected to the island is a clever solution to add seating and counter space in the kitchen.

Love the dark cabinets, especially the large one with glass front doors. It feels like an antique. Like the combination of dark cabinets and light counters too.

This looks like a real chef’s kitchen. Love the mix of high end appliances and antiques, and the butcher block table. Pine floors give the room a warm, inviting feeling.

5 The Dream House Project

Another gorgeous white kitchen. The dark floors and dark counters add a touch of drama. Pale grey walls make all the white really standout. Great layout to this kitchen design. This dream kitchen inspires a multitude of great decorating ideas.

This might only be a pantry but it makes us want to whip something delicious up! This is the most beautiful pantry ever. Love the chalkboard on the door too—great for making lists or posting a recipe.

Okay, this isn't the whole kitchen but just this corner makes us want coffee. Love the grey cabinets and double knob drawers below. This is one of Martha Stewart's beautiful kitchens.

This Hamptons’ kitchen designed by Steven Gambrel is open and airy. Love the French doors that open onto the garden. The checkerboard floor is beautiful.

  11. Thanks for this GREAT kitchen tour! Totally in love with the Steven Gambrel kitchen in The Hamptons. I could move right in, do some serious baking then kick back at that table with my laptop and a cafe au lait.

My Momma gave me some great advice when my first son was born, she said "Enjoy that baby while he stays where you put him!"

    Peace
