Hi friend’s!
Hopefully you have been reading my blog and
you know I love school! I am The Forever Student.
I will be continuing my education next spring with photography. I am
almost done with beginning photography and will be heading into intermediate!
My final project will consist of 10 photo’s in which it will need to tell a story.
I will share it with you when I am done.
Well, to get something new under my belt my sister and I
decided to take a sewing class! We have
never laughed so hard! My sides still hurt!
Bobbin winder and case, presser foot feed dog (what)
upper tension control, thread take-up lever,
extension table, reverse sewing button, needle plate, thread guide,
whewww, just to name a few. There is a lot to remember. Practice, practice!
I love having my sister as my best friend, we are super close.
My wonderful husband is my biggest support…he supports and encourages
me to do and follow all my dreams and passions! So, when he surprised me with this
Singer beginner sewing machine and kit
I just about screamed with excitement!!!
That’s why I love him so much!
He knows me like know one else!
My new love! Sewing! I want to sew and try and make everything now!
Pillows, duvets, baby booties you name it I going to try and make it.
Yes, my personal exciting news is we are now expecting our second child!
I am on cloud 9! I am so grateful and happy! Blessed
1000 times!!!
I am so picky with fabrics but,
now I can do whatever I want…off to search for
amazing fabrics!
Be back soon
Always,
Once you master sewing, please teach me!!!

Congrats on your baby news. Sewing is a lot of fun. I used to sew most of my girls clothing when they were little as well as pillows and other things...just a warning buying fabric is addictive.I still have fabrics that are about 15-20 years old that I can't part with...and still buying. Oh... is that hoarders calling?
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love your home saw it when it was featured at the Old Painted Cottage. To die for, Gorgeous

Hi Lu, first off congratulations on your new baby. I wish you and your family all the best. It's funny because my husband and I just bought a little beginner sewing machine on Monday. We've been wanting to make some pillows. You see we have a sewing machine that has been in our closet for over 12 years, and we've not taken up learning. More me than him. My Dad's wife is an excellent seamstress but on our last visit we still never got 'round to the lesson, my fault not hers. So anyway I'll be learning a little right along with you. Not taking a class, my job keeps me too busy, it will be mostly YouTube and books. Wishing you all the best, happy sewing, tami
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have so much fun with that! Plus with a new baby on the way, you will find tons of things to make. Sisters are the best. No one can laugh like two sisters that is for sure. Congratulations
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, how exciting and right before the holidays!

That's the exact same sewing machine I bought just before moving. I haven't taken a stitch with it yet, but hope to get around to doing so this winter. I used to make all my clothes years ago, but now just want to make hearts, cushions, and pretties for my home. Have fun!! Can't wait to see the photos you mentioned. ♥
