Hi everyone!!
I wanted to share my little man’s room in 2 parts. The overall will be next.
Its special and took some time!
First,
I wanted to thank you for all your nice comments on my last post and for
sending me the information in regards to the casting call for Arkansas!
I am in love with dark gray now for fall!
Gray is the color of the year per ASID.
I have been a decorating mad women,
partially because a little feature will be done on our home soon!
So fun! But, that will be another post! Sorry for my absence.
Dustin is a little over 2 now and I wanted a bit more of a mature room for him.
He is still my baby and I wanted to keep the blue color I have used since he was born,
Consolation by Benjamin Moore. The perfect blue paint for a baby’s boy room.
11 samples later! But, this time I changed things around.
I kept the blue in his fabrics and some of his furniture
and I painted the walls, a dark gray Stratus by Valspar and we added
wainscoting! I should say by amazing, brilliant, talented, contractor husband did it!
I did not want bead boarding, and needed something a little more masculine.
So, my hubby worked hard and added wainscoting throughout his room in large squares, and triple step floor
molding, as I like to call it.
Wait to you see what my hubby did to Dustin’s bathroom!!
Ok, on to his room
I wanted the vintage feed sack to look like a sack of feed…lol,
I just stuffed it, glued and tied twine around the top.
Dusty loves playing with this vintage airplane.
This plane is made very well, Dusty has thrown it every
where!! He loves vintage toys.
My hubby added these vintage shutters on both of his little windows.
I couldn’t believe I found two sets of these that fit perfectly over his windows above is bed!
Inspiration from Rachel Ashwells new book.
I love ghost lamps!
Look at the cute key to turn it on and off!
My sister and I
found this vintage milk glass lamp at the flea market.
My sister and I are joining together! More on that soon.
I love how my friend Maria from Dreamy Whites uses bistro chairs
as end tables or nightstands! Brilliant! His night stands are almost done.
I found some old ones from the flea market and I am having them re-finished.
I am real cautious on what old chippy things I bring home for him. We clean and poly everything!!
He actually rides this little bike!
I love old blocks!
I used White Fever by Benjamin Moore on the wainscoting!
Vintage fabric. Light blue ticking for pillowcases.
He carry’s this little bible around with him everywhere!
He always likes to be carrying something in his hands! Love him!
Whew, there is a ton to explain. Stay tuned.
Last but not least I wanted to introduce my wonderful friend
She is a talented designer and contactor!
Stop by and see her new blog.
Don’t forget the giveaway ends tomorrow!!
Have a beautiful day friends!!
Always,
What a precious room! I love all the sweet vintage things and that Dusty uses them! The bedding is so fun looking and The lamp on the chair is a great idea!
