Flea Market Finds & Starfish

 These French Shot Chillers…

..ok it stops there!! The kind vendor explained what they were to me.. 2 times and I just fell in love...so cute… I already had ideas spinning in my head on what I could do with them..who was listening??..!! I completely forgot!  Does that ever happen to you?

I just heard something..blah, blah  French..

I put my favorite  candle in one of them..

I look for ways to decorate candle’s..

Sometimes when they are not lit, they are not much fun to look at!

(Caution with the flames ladies and gents)

I wanted to share a great idea I saw to dye starfish!  You may have seen this before..I think it is a wonderful idea and can add color and contrast anywhere. Perfect for spring and summer You can choose from many different color’s of dye…

I chose Rit Liquid Dye Denim Blue..

You can dilute the dye with water or you can use the dye in full strength to get the desired affect ,  I tried it both ways.

Soak for a few minutes..

Love those super easy project’s

I want to try and dye coral next..hmmm..

  6. I remember having my first decorated candle... it was with a piece of rope and a medaillion I had since I was little. Since then I gave been decorating them for two years... still have some with angels decorated and stuff ;)

I'm amazed at the ability to dye the starfish, they are beautiful. Can you imagine sweet pink or robin's egg blue. oh wow, endless possibilites! Your branches you have are just gorgeous!

  40. What a great idea! I so gotta do that now. This aqua color keeps on coming back to haunt me so I think that I am going to start adding touches of it here. How pretty to dye starfish aqua. I wonder if you could dye them with diluted paint also? I'm going to have to try this now.

  54. I have seen those shot chillers things like molded to some wine bottles at one of my favorite shops... I thought they were canvas covered bottles. Love all your finds!
